Our Story

Lisa Shalett & Lisa DeCarlo
Extraordinary Women On Boards

EWOB emerged in 2017 in response to a clear and growing need among women board directors.  EWOB Co-Founder, Lisa Shalett, kept meeting highly accomplished women who had three big things in common: they all served on corporate boards (often as the only woman in the room), they were frustrated by the lack of community for experienced women directors to leverage one another’s collective expertise, and they were all committed to being excellent directors. After organizing a lunch to bring these extraordinary women together . . . it set off a ripple effect.

Since that first lunch, EWOB has been on a mission: to amplify the impact of women inside boardrooms and beyond.  Our Members serve on the highest profile boards and challenge us to deliver cutting edge content, valuable resources and facilitate powerful connections all aimed at helping them deliver meaningful impact in their board seats.
